About Me

Christine M'Lot
B.A, B.Ed, M.Ed (in progress)
I am an Anishinaabe educator, curriculum developer, and consultant from Winnipeg, Manitoba. I have over twelve years experience working with children and youth in multiple capacities including teaching, facilitating, family programming, children’s disability services, and child welfare.
In addition to teaching high school, I create curriculum for a number of organizations. My most recent contract was co-developing a hip-hop coding program aimed at promoting social justice for Your Voice is Power. Previous to that, I re-wrote the Grade 12 Essential Math curriculum from an Indigenous perspective for the Manitoba Institute of Trade and Technology’s Youth Build Program. You can see a list of my current and past projects by visiting the Projects page.
I also co-edited an Indigenous education textbook called Resurgence: Engaging with Indigenous narratives and cultural expressions in and beyond the classroom (2022). Click here to purchase.
